WORLD Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announces parliament dissolution on August 9

 Sharif will send formal advice to the President on August 9 for the dissolution of the National Assembly and the President, according to the constitutional provisions must sign it within 48 hours to effectuate the dissolution.Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced on Thursday that the National Assembly would be dissolved on August 9.

The decision came after a meeting with parliamentary leaders during a dinner event, where they thoroughly discussed the country’s political situation, as reported by The Express Tribune.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz sought the advice of the parliamentary leaders and held discussions regarding the arrangements for the caretaker prime minister and the caretaker setup.

Sharif will send formal advice to the President on August 9 for the dissolution of the National Assembly and the President, according to the constitutional provisions must sign it within 48 hours to effectuate the dissolution. 

If, for any reason, the President does not sign the advice, the Assembly will be automatically dissolved, The Express Tribune reported.
